# Your first video

> Revise your first clip with Optic in a few minutes — choose the seconds, say what changes, press Revise once, download your film.

The quickest way to see what ROUTIX does is to revise a short clip of your own with Optic.

## Revise a clip

1. Open **Studio** from the sidebar and press **Revise a clip**.
2. Press **Choose a clip**. Your Gallery opens: press **Upload** and pick a video from your device (on a computer you can also drop the file anywhere on the page).
3. Drag the window on the timeline to the seconds you want changed — Optic revises up to 60 seconds of a clip — and press **Confirm**.
4. In the words box, say what should change, for example: *"Change her red jacket to a long black wool coat. Keep everything else as it is."*
5. Check the price on the button — **Revise · … credits** — and press **Revise**. That one press pays and starts the work: Optic reads your clip and makes your film. If it cannot be made, your credits come back in full and the page says why.
6. When the film is ready, press **Download**.

## Make something new instead

If you have no clip, start from words: on Studio's home, open **Videos** or **Pictures**, choose a model, describe what you want and press **Make**. [Making pictures and videos](https://routix.studio/help/studio/make-pictures-and-videos) walks through it.

## Tips for a great first result

- Start with a short stretch and one clear change.
- Name what changes and into what — "the jacket becomes a long black wool coat", not "make it cooler".
- If there are two people and you mean one of them, mark that person with [Focus](https://routix.studio/help/focus/what-is-focus).
