# What ROUTIX is

> ROUTIX is a creative studio for video. Revise a video you already have, mark exactly what you mean, and make new pictures and videos from words.

ROUTIX is a creative studio for video. You bring a clip, say what should change, and ROUTIX changes exactly that — while everything you did not name stays as your video shows it.

## What you can do

- **Revise a video you already have with Optic.** Choose the seconds, say what should change — a person, what someone wears, the text on screen, the look of the whole shot — and Optic makes a new film of that stretch. See [What Optic does](https://routix.studio/help/optic/what-optic-does).
- **Point at the exact place with Focus.** Draw around a subject or place a point on the frame, then name it in your words. See [What Focus is](https://routix.studio/help/focus/what-is-focus).
- **Make new pictures and videos from words.** Studio's model pages turn your words and your pictures into new pictures and videos. See [Making pictures and videos](https://routix.studio/help/studio/make-pictures-and-videos).
- **Let one agent run the whole work in the chat.** Bring a clip, pictures, a sound or just an idea, talk it through, and say **Routix it** — ROUTIX plans, makes and checks every step, with Fovea reviewing every take. See [The ROUTIX agent](https://routix.studio/help/chat/the-routix-agent).
- **Share what you make.** Put your work on your public page, or offer a finished film as a template others can start from. See [Sharing your work](https://routix.studio/help/community/sharing).

Behind all of it is **ROUTIX Blind** — ROUTIX's own perception and reasoning core, built to understand a video the way a mind that once could see rebuilds a scene. See [ROUTIX Blind](https://routix.studio/help/why-routix/routix-blind).

## Where things live

| Place | What it is for |
| --- | --- |
| **Studio** | Optic, the model pages, the Gallery and History — everything you make by hand. |
| **Chats** | Conversations where ROUTIX makes things for you, step by step. |
| **Community** | People and what they share, and templates anyone can start from. |
| **Credits** | Your balance, the plans and add-ons, and your purchases. |
| **Settings** | Your time zone, your account and signing out. |

## The one rule ROUTIX follows

Whatever you do not mention comes from your original video. If you ask for a new jacket, the face, the room, the light and the camera stay as they were. The more precisely you say what changes, the more precisely the rest is kept — [Writing Optic prompts](https://routix.studio/help/prompts/writing-optic-prompts) shows how.
