# How I'll make this

> Hand ROUTIX the brushes yourself — which model moves, which one paints, how long it thinks, how closely it looks and how strictly Fovea judges.

Left to itself, ROUTIX chooses how to make what you ask for. When you want a say, the composer's eye button opens **How I'll make this** — *"choose the brushes you hand me"*. The button reads **ROUTIX decides** until you choose something, and then it shows your choices.

1. In the composer, press the eye button (**ROUTIX decides**).
2. Move the lanes you care about; leave the rest on **ROUTIX decides**.
3. Send your message — your choices go with it.
4. To keep them for the whole chat, press **make this my default here**. Otherwise they count for this message.

The button waits while ROUTIX is working; choose before your next message.

## The lanes

### How I move — *"the hand that sets it in motion"*

The video model that animates your frames, by name. Each choice shows its price in words before anything is made.

### How I paint — *"the eye that paints each frame"*

The picture model that paints your frames and references, then its **Quality**. Each choice shows its price in words too — the price follows the quality you pick, and it is shown before anything is made.

### How I think — *"the mind that holds the whole scene"*

How long ROUTIX thinks before it answers and plans. This is ROUTIX Blind's lane — not the composer's **Blind | Blink** switch, which decides whether ROUTIX works on its own or checks each step with you ([Blind and Blink](https://routix.studio/help/chat/blind-and-blink)).

| Stop | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Blind** | *"The everyday mind — I answer at once."* |
| **Blind · Considered** | *"I think it over before I answer — a little slower; your credits stay the same."* |
| **Blind · Deep** | *"I think it through before I answer — the longest wait; your credits stay the same."* |

The slider runs from **Faster** to **Thinks longer**. Thinking longer changes only how ROUTIX reasons about your message — everything it then makes is made the same way, and **your credits stay the same**. If this lane shows **Blind** with no slider, the deeper stops are not on right now; Blind answers as always. Your choice is kept for the chat as soon as you move it.

### How closely I look — *"the sharpness I bring to every reading"*

| Stop | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **ROUTIX Standard** | *"The everyday eye — quick, steady, and enough for most builds."* |
| **ROUTIX Lens** | *"The long look. Every reading that shapes a frame goes to the sharpest eye I have — it takes longer, and it sees more."* |

From **Faster** to **Sees more**. It is the same build either way, the same steps and the same review — only the sharpness of each reading changes. Standard is where every chat starts; your choice is kept for the chat.

### How strictly Fovea judges

From **Forgiving** to **Unsparing**: **Lenient**, **Standard** or **Exacting**. See [Fovea, the reviewer beside ROUTIX](https://routix.studio/help/chat/fovea#how-strictly-fovea-judges).

## When a saved choice is no longer offered

If a model you saved as your default is switched off, the panel says *"Your saved choice here is no longer offered, so the default is used."* — ROUTIX uses its own choice until you pick again.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does thinking longer cost more?

No. **Blind · Considered** and **Blind · Deep** take longer, and your credits stay the same.

### Do I have to choose anything?

No. **ROUTIX decides** is a full answer: ROUTIX chooses for you.
